Firearms possession

The acquisition of a firearm is subject to an application for a licence. The High official of the Brussels Agglomeration is responsible for firearm-related applications from private individuals residing in the Brussels-Capital Region:

  • application for a licence to possess a firearm (model 4)
  • application for a permit to carry a firearm
  • application for a European Firearms Pass
  • application for a firearm collector's licence (if the collection is located in the Brussels-Capital Region)
  • application for a gunsmith's license (if the gunsmithing activities are carried out in the Brussels-Capital Region)
  • application for a shooting range licence (if the shooting range is located in the Brussels-Capital Region)

The Weapons Service can be contacted by telephone every working day from 9am to 12pm, and is accessible by appointment only on Tuesdays from 2 to 4pm and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm.
