Understanding and applying education law in the wallonia-brussels federation
At the end of the training course, participants will be able to answer the following questions:
- Who is subject to compulsory education?
- What is the right to education and who benefits from it?
- Can a school refuse to enrol a student?
- What are the conditions for moving from one year to the next?
- What are bridging classes for new arrivals?
- Can a school expel a student, and under what conditions?
- What recourse is available in the event of permanent exclusion?
- How is the certification of studies and the process of progressing pupils up to the next year organised?
- What appeals can be lodged against the decisions of the class council?
- What are the missions of PMS centres?
- How does the world of education fit in with youth work?

Drawing up reports on the basis of the brussels "waste" order and examination techniques
At the end of this training course, participants will be able to:
- Choose the most appropriate public cleanliness legislation for the situation in question;
- Explain how the ABP service works;
- Draw up reports that will be forwarded to the ABP, based on the order;
- Conduct an examination in compliance with legislation.

Human trafficking: detecting and redirecting victims
Objectives
- Understand what human trafficking is, both conceptually and in practical terms (different types of trafficking, sensitive sectors, current phenomena in Brussels, etc.).
- Understand victims' situations
- Recognise the signs (indicators) of human trafficking
- Familiarise yourself with the network
- Identify what measures you can take (within the scope of your duties)
- Get to know other professionals and understand their tasks and working environments

Human trafficking: sex work, detecting sexual exploitation and approaching victims
Les objectifs de la formation sont les suivants :
- Connaître le cadre légal qui régit le travail du sexe et la traite des êtres humains
- Distinguer les différentes formes de prostitution (bar, vitrine, bar, privé, …) et les différents profils de travailleurs du sexe
- Repérer des situations d’exploitation sexuelle
- Connaître les différents profils de victimes d’exploitation sexuelle, en particulier les mineurs d’âge

Basic training: paramedic
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To take part in the basic training course, paramedic candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be presented by an approved 112 ambulance service
- Be over 18 and under 60 years of age
- Pay the registration fee (€79.33)
Certain exemptions are possible for nurses. Nurses holding the SISU qualification will be eligible for full exemption.
COURSES
Basic training is based on the guidelines of the Royal Decree of 1998. This includes a minimum of 132 hours of classes and 40 hours of work experience. There are two types of curricula, depending on the department sending you:
- Weekday sessions: four days a week from 8:00 to 12:15 and from 13:00 to 16:00. Some days end at 17:00.
- Weekend sessions: 8:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 16:30, alternating with Thursday evenings. (Spread over several months)
Over the course of a year, we organise several sessions of French- and Dutch-speaking courses during the week, and one French-speaking session at the weekend.

Ongoing training
Once certified, paramedics must undergo 24 hours of ongoing training per year.
Those who obtain certification in the first half of the year must complete 24 hours of ongoing training in the same year.
Those who obtain certification in the second half will start their ongoing training the following year.

Five-yearly revalidation
At the end of each five-year period, a paramedic must pass a test at an approved training centre in the province.
This test covers:
Solo adult CPR without equipment
Two-person adult CPR with equipment
Solo paediatric CPR without equipment
A scenario (medical or trauma)

EMA ongoing training (excluding AR)
The ongoing training courses that make up POOL 2 are aimed at our main EMA partners (the Ministry of Defence, Red Cross, SIAMU, etc.).
At their request, we organise a variety of training courses to complement the career development of their staff.

Expertise development training: First aid in confined spaces
When responding to an incident and providing first aid in confined spaces, care techniques as well as hazards and safety measures must be carefully adapted, assessed and taken into consideration.
This one-day training course, lasting seven hours, is given by experts from the RISC (Rescue In Safe Conditions) team.
This training course is aimed at anyone who has to deal with this issue in a professional context.
