Safe.brussels joins the CEASE network to combat domestic violence

11.07.2025

Safe.brussels has strengthened its commitment to preventing and combating domestic violence by signing the CEASE (Companies Against Sexual and Domestic Violence) Charter. By joining this network of organisations, safe.brussels is asserting its role as a responsible employer and taking tangible action to raise awareness and support its employees.

What is the CEASE network?

The CEASE network is a European initiative that mobilises companies and organisations in the fight against domestic violence. The aim is twofold: to provide a safe, caring working environment for victims and to raise awareness of this major issue among all our teams.

By signing this charter, safe.brussels commits to:

  • informing and educating employees about domestic violence and its impact.
  • training specialists who can refer victims to the appropriate services.
  • implementing internal measures to support the relevant employees.

Why is this commitment essential?

Domestic violence doesn't remain at home: it has a direct impact on victims' work lives too. As an employer, safe.brussels recognises its role in prevention and support.

Membership of the CEASE network also is also consistent with the objectives of the Global Security and Prevention Plan (GSPP) supported by safe.brussels. Through this plan, the government is supporting projects to prevent domestic violence and provide support for victims.
