Olista comes together with its partners to improve the management of domestic violence in the Brussels Region
04.12.2025On Wednesday 15 October 2025, safe.brussels organised Olista's annual meeting day, an important event dedicated to the management of domestic violence in the Brussels-Capital Region.
13 complaints of domestic violence are recorded in the Brussels Region every day
In light of this situation, the day provided an opportunity for the partners working with Olista to strengthen their collaboration and discuss their practices to improve guidance and support for victims.
A day of discussions for professionals
Organised to address the partners' practical needs, the meeting provided a forum for exchange and co-development, structured around practical questions: When should we contact Olista? How do we get in touch with other professionals?
The event also provided an opportunity to take stock of the project's development since its launch in April 2024. Olista has grown significantly, fostering better coordination between psychological, medical and social stakeholders, and legal and institutional players.

Simulation of an intersectoral session: an exercise to better understand this system
One of the highlights of the day was the simulation of an intersectoral session. During this type of session, Olista takes over a victim's case and assigns it to a psychological, medical, social and legal unit (PMS+L). Together, professionals from different sectors draw up a personalised action plan to meet the victim's specific needs.
These real-life situations enabled participants to gain a better understanding of Olista's role and how it operates, and to appreciate the added value of intersectoral collaboration in the fight against domestic violence.
Olista, enabling collaboration
Olista does not receive victims directly. Its purpose is to structure, coordinate and facilitate collaboration between the various players involved in managing situations of domestic violence in the Brussels region.
By joining Olista, partners benefit from:
- tailored support for their professional practices;
- collaborative tools adapted to real-life situations;
- and a forum for discussions, fostering concerted, effective action.
